WOLTERS KLUWER: Reconfigurable Exhibits

Trade Shows

Executive Summary

Wolters Kluwer provides software and information systems the healthcare industry relies on. Since 2013, they’ve trusted NPARALLEL + Atomic Props to give that work a physical presence on the trade show floor.

More than ten years later, the partnership has grown across multiple Wolters Kluwer divisions, built on a model that’s become their signature: invest in custom exhibit properties once, then reconfigure and refresh them show after show. One 10×10 architecture has stood on its own and scaled into a 20×20. A repeatable billboard-style exhibit has carried everything from full-motion LED to printed lightbox graphics. The result is a brand presence Wolters Kluwer owns, controls, and reinvents, with the same partner beside them from first sketch to final install.

Business Challenge

Healthcare brands don’t exhibit once a year. Wolters Kluwer shows up across a full calendar of industry events, from HIMSS to HLTH to NACDS, each with its own footprint, audience, and floor plan.

Building a new exhibit for every show isn’t sustainable, and it isn’t smart. Wolters Kluwer wanted a presence that could flex from a 10×10 to a 20×20 and beyond, stay current with the technology buyers expect to see, and look intentional every time, without starting from scratch at each event.

They also wanted ownership. Rather than rent a different exhibit each cycle, Wolters Kluwer prefers to purchase custom properties, then find new ways to use what they already own. That puts a specific demand on the fabrication partner: every piece has to be built to be reconfigured, refreshed, and redeployed for years.

Goals & Objectives

  • Maintain a consistent, ownable brand presence across the healthcare trade show calendar
  • Get maximum value from owned exhibit properties by reconfiguring them across footprints and shows
  • Integrate technology, LED, and motion graphics to keep the experience feeling current
  • Support live product demos and private meetings within the same footprint
  • Keep year-over-year refreshes fast, flexible, and cost-efficient

Our Solution

A Buy-Once, Reconfigure-Often Model

Wolters Kluwer’s approach is deliberate: own the properties, then reinvent them. We design and fabricate every component with that in mind, so each new show starts from what they already have and comes back to life with updated graphics and technology. The investment compounds. The exhibit looks new. The footprint adapts.

One 10x10 Architecture, Many Footprints

In 2025, we designed an elevated 10×10 that punched well above its size: a light-up counter, lightbox graphics throughout, and integrated demo stations. Wolters Kluwer then updated the graphics and carried that same architecture across their 2026 shows, expressing it differently each time.

At HIMSS, the 10×10 arch structure became the anchor of a 20×20. We added lightboxes, kiosks, and a seating area behind it, building a larger footprint out of a smaller exhibit’s bones, then ran a variation set on an angle with a reworked back-of-exhibit layout and meeting space. Same architecture, multiple expressions.

Technology That Keeps the Story Moving

For HLTH, Wolters Kluwer wanted technology front and center. We built on their repeatable billboard-style 20×20, a design they’ve deployed in many configurations, sometimes with a large box graphic, here with full-motion LED.

The build integrated a large LED screen running video, LED lighting wrapping the entire structure, LED lighting along the demo stations, and an LED tile reception counter for a striking entry moment. Motion graphics kept the space alive. A monitor at the back demo station and an enclosed meeting space with its own screen gave the team room to present and to talk privately.

Built-In Demo and Meeting Space

Across every configuration, the exhibits do double duty: draw a crowd and host a conversation. Wolters Kluwer typically works in a 20×20 footprint that pairs open demo stations with enclosed or semi-enclosed meeting areas.

At NACDS, a double-sided lightbox crowned the structure for visibility from across the floor, while an enclosed conference room with view panels, vinyl graphics, and demo stations gave the team a private space to do business.

A Partnership Run Side by Side

This isn’t a hand-off relationship. Wolters Kluwer stays involved from start to finish, onsite, supervising, and collaborating closely through design, fabrication, and install. That proximity is part of why it works, and part of why it’s lasted.

Since 2013, the trust has spread. Multiple Wolters Kluwer divisions now partner with us, and they recommend NPARALLEL + Atomic Props internally across the organization. A decade of work, and they keep finding new ways to use what we’ve built together.

Results

The clearest result is the one that’s hardest to fake: a healthcare brand that has chosen the same fabrication partner for more than a decade, and expanded that relationship across divisions.

  • A partnership running strong since 2013, more than 10 years and counting
  • Trusted across multiple Wolters Kluwer divisions, with internal referrals driving new work
  • One elevated 10x10 architecture deployed across multiple 2026 shows in different configurations
  • That same 10x10 architecture scaled into a 20x20 at HIMSS with added lightboxes, kiosks, and seating
  • A repeatable billboard-style 20x20 reconfigured from printed box graphics to full-motion LED at HLTH
  • Integrated event technology including LED screens, full-structure LED lighting, an LED tile reception counter, and motion graphics
  • Owned properties reused and refreshed show to show, from HIMSS to HLTH to NACDS

Ready To Build an Exhibit That Works as Hard as You Do?

From a single 10×10 to a full reconfigurable program, we design and fabricate trade show exhibits built to be owned, reused, and reinvented for years, not replaced every season.

Whether you need integrated LED and motion graphics, demo and meeting space in one footprint, or a partner who stays beside you from concept through install, our team brings the craft and the technology to make every show feel new.
