Following a period of major transformation—including becoming a publicly traded company, relocating its headquarters, and onboarding new executive leadership—Hayward wanted its new office to reflect the bold trajectory of the brand. More than just a workspace, the headquarters needed to become a physical embodiment of Hayward’s renewed identity as a technology-forward leader in the pool equipment industry.

They turned to NPARALLEL + Atomic Props to bring this vision to life through immersive brand installations, impactful storytelling, and thoughtful design that honors their legacy while looking ahead.

Business Challenge

This wasn’t just an office redesign. It was a chance to architect a space that reflected a defining moment in the company’s history.

Hayward needed an environment that did three things at once:

  • Impress visitors with an elevated, memorable brand experience from the moment they walked through the doors
  • Inspire employees by celebrating company pride and purpose
  • Visually communicate transformation—showing how far the brand had come and where it’s going

 

There was no existing blueprint or clear model to follow. The headquarters was a blank canvas, and the challenge was to create something bold, immersive, and uniquely Hayward—without sacrificing function or flow.

Our Solution

Our team began by immersing ourselves in Hayward’s story—from their roots as a trusted pool equipment provider to their future-focused push into smart technology and innovation. From there, we concepted, designed, and built a series of installations that would turn their lobby into a storytelling space.

At the heart of the project was a suspended art installation, built from actual Hayward pool components. Carefully curated and arranged into a modern sculptural piece, this hanging display serves as both a visual centerpiece and a tribute to Hayward’s product legacy. It’s the first thing people see when they enter—and it sets the tone for everything else.

From there, we wove brand moments throughout the space:

  • Custom signage and wayfinding elements designed to blend clean, contemporary aesthetics with Hayward’s brand palette

  • Subtle material choices—like finishes and textures—that evoke the feeling of water, motion, and fluidity

  • Graphic storytelling moments, including display walls and built-in messaging that reinforce the brand’s innovation and leadership

 

Every detail—from the font choice on the signage to the lighting around the sculptural installation—was selected with purpose. The space wasn’t just designed to look like Hayward. It was designed to feel like Hayward.

Results

The result is a headquarters that delivers on every level. Visitors walk into a space that instantly communicates confidence, momentum, and innovation. Employees are reminded of the brand’s purpose and potential every day they come to work.
