CASE STUDY

Goosebumps

Custom 3D WALLSCAPE

Executive Summary

We had the thrill of fabricating this creepy door activation for the promo of the new Goosebumps show. This project came to life through collaboration with Colossal Media, who hand-painted the mural that sits in front of our prop

Business Challenge

The client needed to drive foot traffic and social engagement. Additionally, they wanted a street-level activation where the cast of Goosebumps could stop by, boosting visibility. We wanted to truly make this experience stand out with a unique mix of mural + fabricated elements.

Goals & Objectives

  • Collaborate with mural companies and vendors to ensure we seamlessly blended hand-painted murals and the physical activation – mixing art and fabrication.
  • Allow the client to tweak the lighting for the perfect spooky glow with programmable neon lights.
  • Create an oozing effect by hand-sculpting ectoplasm made from foam.
  • Capture user reactions to gather shareable social media content
  • Provide interactive, unexpected street-level experiences that drive engagement—both in real life and online.

Our Solution

We fabricated a spooky doorway that fostered an eye-catching, interactive experience, making people want to go up and touch it. Texture and depth were enhanced with eerie lighting, silk vines, and hand-sculpted ectoplasm that drew people in organically. All of this was then captured on camera, giving our clients the chance to share unique social media content – further promoting their show.

Here’s what we contributed:

  • Welded steel door frame
  • Hand-sculpted goo with a gel-like texture
  • Custom caution tape and styled faux vines
  • Halo lighting for maximum impact

Results

After Colossal Media painted the mural, NPARALLEL + Atomic Props managed the fabrication and installation. Our team also worked with North Shore Neon to complete the programmable neon lighting. The 3D installation successfully drew attention and encouraged interaction.
